250 for 250: A Morton Grove Food Drive in the Spirit of America’s 250th Birthday, in Support of the Maine Township Food Pantry

July 7 - July 30

Food Drive Morton Grove — this summer, the International Servant Leaders Museum is proud to launch “250 for 250: A Food Drive in the Spirit of America’s 250th Birthday, in Support of the Maine Township Food Pantry.”

In support of the Maine Township Food Pantry’s mission and in the spirit of America’s 250th birthday, we are launching “250 for 250” — a summer food drive running June 30 through July 29.

We invite you to visit the International Servant Leaders Museum during our summer evening hours and, in lieu of an admission fee, bring a non-perishable food item. Every item collected goes directly to the Maine Township Food Pantry. Our goal is to collect 250 items — multiplied as many times as possible — throughout the campaign.

Visit us this summer:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
Dehkhoda Educational Foundation’s International Servant Leaders Museum
Morton Grove, Illinois

Please see the list of needed items below/attached for the most-needed donations this season.

Why This Food Drive Morton Grove Campaign Matters

Food insecurity in our community is real and growing. The Maine Township Food Pantry serves hundreds of families every month across Morton Grove, Park Ridge, Niles, and surrounding communities. As our nation marks 250 years since the Declaration of Independence and its timeless promise that all people are created equal, we believe that promise becomes most real when neighbors care for one another in practical, compassionate ways.

The International Servant Leaders Museum exists to honor individuals who have led with humility and service. This Food Drive Morton Grove campaign is a natural extension of that mission — turning the values we celebrate inside our walls into action in our community.

What to Bring

  • Canned goods (vegetables, fruit, beans, soup)
  • Pasta and rice
  • Peanut butter and cooking oil
  • Breakfast items such as cereal and oatmeal
  • Gift cards to local grocery stores

How to Donate Online
Can’t make it in person? You can support the Food Drive Morton Grove campaign with a monetary donation online. DONATE ONLINE HERE — for every $10 donated, we will contribute one or more needed food items on your behalf to the Maine Township Food Pantry. Every dollar makes a direct, measurable difference for a family in our community.

In the spirit of servant leadership, this campaign reminds us that the promise of equality becomes most real when we care for one another in practical, compassionate ways. We hope you will join us this summer in making 250 for 250 a strong expression of community, generosity, and shared purpose.
