Remembering Mr. Rogers

We warmly invite you to join us for a special program remembering Mister Rogers and reflecting on his enduring “143” message — I Love You — and its connection to human dignity and community.

This event is jointly presented by the International Servant Leaders Museum (I ❤️ SL🌈M) and the Northeastern Illinois University College of Arts and Sciences.

Through music and reflection, we will explore how Mister Rogers affirmed the worth of every human being and embodied human rights through compassion and care for neighbors.

🎵 Music by Jeremy Babcock, Director of the First-Year Experience Program at Northeastern Illinois University and founder of Chicago’s family band, The Dreamtree Shakers.

🎤 Reflections by Dr. Tim Libretti, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of American Literature at Northeastern Illinois University.

We will also invite attendees to share brief reflections.

At the International Servant Leaders Museum, we remember the candles who serve humanity. Mister Rogers was one of those luminous souls — servant first, leader always — reminding us that love is a public force for good.
